Heading Out!

I'm so excited to be heading out for the Heirloom Rubber Stamp & Papercrafting show in Georgia!  I've got all my goodies packed up (back of the truck will be full!).  I'm looking forward to teaching the classes (offering two different ones) as well as participating in their Design and Treasure Make & Take on Friday night and meeting some new scrappy friends!

I've got a couple of "new" techniques that I'm working on and will be publishing those when I get back home next week :)

Love Blooms . . . Club Scrap Online Event

So, if you get any of the Club Scrap emails, you've probably seen information about signing up for the Love Blooms event.  Thought I'd give you a little more information about these cool online events.  Club Scrap usually offers 3-4 of these a year and they are awesome!  Basically, when you sign up for the event, its just like a membership ~ you never know what will be included in your box.  Be assured, however that what you'll get is more than worth the price!  Usually, there are layouts, cards to make and a project and all of these include everything you'll need to put them together ~ embellies, unmounted rubber stamps, etc.  There are also always cool surprises ~ things you haven't seen on the Club Scrap site before (or maybe anywhere!) included.

Recently, Club Scrap posted some "spoilers" for the coming event on their staff blogs and I just wanted to share with you ~ if you click on the link below and look at Kay and Tricia's blog entries from Thursday, 1/26 you can see a preview of what's coming.

Here are a couple of pics to tease you!

There is still time to join the fun!  Just go HERE to sign up.Once the event goes "live" on 2/7, you'll have access to the printable instructions for everything as well as a link to video instructions - give it a try, I'm sure you'll LOVE it!

Resolution Update

So far I've "cut up" 8 different kits and have 4 projects almost finished!  Projects include:
Club Scrap's "Versailles" ATC Holder

collected all of the tools needed
Starting assembly (love the Bookbinding Adhesive from Club Scrap)

Wasn't sure I'd like using the tissue paper
to cover this (instead of paint), but it hides
lots of little gaps!
Since I don't do ATC's, I'm working on filling
this with stuff I like instead!

Club Scrap's Girls Night Out "Event" - Tri-Fold Book
This is what the book looks
like closed

Open the book and you can add
a few pics!

Flip it open a little more . . .

Open it all the way and "wah-lah"!
Tons of room for pics, even a pull-
out section for more pics or hidden journaling

Here's the Papillon shadow box project from Club Scrap.  I still have to decorate it, but I'm waiting till inspiration "strikes"!
Closed, front view

Inside look;
lots of compartments for decorating!

Lastly, I've completed putting together the mini "fatbook" from Club Scrap's Aurora Borealis collection!  Painting, stamping & stitching, oh my . . .
Had to take a 2nd look @
Tricia's video for this to get the
stitching right!

Duh moment~!
Really need to pay attention when
punching the holes so that the openings
are "right" (mine will be backwards)

Here's a look at my finished book!
It opens like a "Z" with half on
one side and half on the other

New Year's Resolutions

This year, I've resolved to keep up with scrapping my kits and projects as they arrive.  As you can see, I've got quite a pile of both to catch up on.

To accomplish this, I'll print out all of the ALSB (Assembly Line Scrapbooking) directions and take a day to just cut everything for the layouts.  Next, I spend time putting the layouts together and putting them in albums. Two or three times a year (more if I'm REALLY motivated), I'll pull my albums out along with my stash of pics and start putting them all together & putting the final touches on!

My other scrappy resolution is to spend more time going through the Club Scrap "Scrap Rap" magazine that comes out every month and actually trying out some of the cool techniques, etc. that are in there.  The Scrap Rap is 20+ pages of scrappy goodness with pics of the layouts/cards that are possible with all 3 of the monthly kits as well as other ideas, projects and techniques.  I'll be sure to share my creations from this here so be on the lookout!
